HIGH TECH EATING -- A DIFFERENT WAY OF TEACHING CHILDREN AND ADULTS ABOUT OUR FOOD AND OUR ILLNESSES.



From my vantage point as a teacher, writer and ex-sufferer, I see our problems with weight loss and illnesses coming, not from us, but from the way we're taught.

We're given do or don't instructions in programs which we're expected to just obey and even if any how's and why's are present, they're vague. 

AN EXAMPLE: Eat vegetables. They won't make you put on weight.    

We do obey for a while, and we do lose weight, but when the novelty passes and/or something happens to distract us, most of us abandon our programs and go back to what we were eating or doing before.  

What we need are detailed how's and why's proving what we're being told in programs. The how's and why's should also be in picture form so that we can actually visualize the proof.

When this happens, we develop CONVICTION AND SELF-EMPOWERMENT. We're then able to devise strategies and carry out instructions in programs on weight loss and illnesses permanently.

The following short, quick read publications use this picture form method of teaching.

There is though a problem.

Proof and self-empowerment in weight loss and health
are new concepts to most of us. 


                  So, I suggest a first-step introduction. 

The account of how I, a typical, non-medical member of the public, developed the know-how to permanently lose weight through self-empowerment and at the same time, vastly improve my health.

               HOW I CAME TO LOSE WEIGHT         


                                  THROUGH


                      SELF-EMPOWERMENT.  




I’m a regular wife, 
mother 
and teacher,
who most of her life 
(I’m now 72),
sometimes won 
and 
mostly lost battles
 against the forces 
of 
weight gain.  

 
           
       Then, about 16 years ago I was given the name of a book -
     
        I don’t remember its title - which I borrowed from a library - 
                 now no longer in existence – but which remains
                              embedded in my memory as:
                                    
                                                The book that opened up         
                      a whole new world to me.
                
                   
I started feeling amazed when I read in that book that the "sugar" we're always being told about is actually microscopic parts called SUGAR MOLECULES!

My amazement then grew even more when I read further. That when we eat a food with sugar MOLECULES in it, insulin MOLECULES dart hither and thither inside us doing the most wondrous of things to these sugar molecules! 

And when I read that THESE MINISCULE BITS AND PIECES VIRTUALLY CONTROL OUR WEIGHT AND HEALTH!! - I was shaking my head in disbelief.

Shortly thereafter I saw a doctor, told him a bit of what I'd read and then asked him - I can still hear my words as if it happened yesterday: "Geoff, is it true?"
Well, he verified it all. What to me, without any medical training, was a WORLD OF THE MICROSCOPE!  UNBELIEVABLE WONDERS OF WONDERS! was to him with his medical training, just things you take for granted.    
The fascination of looking through the microscope at cells and molecules didn’t fade. It grew stronger and stronger as the years passed.

I did research and saw for myself more and more through-the-microscope-proofs of what I was told about weight loss and health.
 
                I  gradually  developed  more  and  more
                                      KNOWLEDGE
                       AND  SELF - EMPOWERMENT. 

Bit by bit, always choosing the least inconvenient improvement, I used my new found HIGH TECH knowledge of cells and molecules and the accompanying SELF-EMPOWERMENT to gradually introduce permanent improvements in my eating.
      Without much effort,
                      I gradually lost weight
    
and for the first time in my life
                       
                                I didn’t put any back on again.

Nor was my weight the only thing that changed. My physical and psychological health kept improving and for the first time in my life, I kept up an exercise program permanently.
Then one day, a thought suddenly struck me:
“There are so many people out there who would also like to know what you know about SELF-EMPOWERMENT and cells and molecules."
That was the beginning of a series 
of eight short pdfs on weight loss; and also illnesses like high blood pressure, heart attacks, diabetes and cancer.

A pdf (see descriptions and samples below) takes about 10 - 15 minutes to read.

They should be read in order. This is because each pdf uses knowledge from previous pdfs in a step by step process of learning more and more about the incredible powers of this invisible world of cells and molecules.

AND with each gradual increase in our knowledge, we acquire 
more conviction and therefore more self-empowerment.
         
                The medical details in the pdfs are checked by
                            Dr Nishan Pillay MBBCh (WITS).
  
       

The eight pdfs were formerly titled: "A FIRST DIFFERENT LOOK AT WEIGHT LOSS", "A SECOND DIFFERENT LOOK AT WEIGHT LOSS" etc.

Their new titles are going to be: "SUGAR ONE", SUGAR TWO" etc.

Step by step, we look through a microscope at the relevant cells and molecules and see how eating a sweet favorite like a slice of cake together with a raw fruit/or vegetable helps us lose weight. 

IN THE SECOND PART of the pdf, we see how eating like this also helps us move away from high blood pressure.

We're always being told that movement like exercise, walking etc. helps us lose weight. We look through a microscope at the relevant cells and molecules and SEE HOW this happens.

IN THE SECOND PART of the pdf, we see how movement also helps us move away from heart attacks and strokes.



SUGAR THREE - STEP THREE 
 

In this third step through the microscope, we use our knowledge from pdfs 2 and 3. We now see how eating a sweet favorite like a slice of cake together with a protein is another way of helping us lose weight.

IN THE SECOND PART of the pdf, we also see how often eating big amounts of protein may cause us to have kidney stones.  
                                    
      
    SUGAR FOUR - STEP FOUR 



                          IT SEEMS SO OBVIOUS. 
The less you eat, the more weight you must lose. 
But see here that this is not what actually happens.

IN THE SECOND PART of the pdf, we also see how often eating big amounts of protein may cause gout.

We use our step by step knowledge of

lots of sugar molecules in our blood may

We often hear the word "glycemic", but most of us don't know what it is.  We now have the knowledge to be able to understand and visualise what the words "low glycemic" and "high glycemic" actually mean.


                        IN THE SECOND PART of the pdf, 
                      we use our new knowledge  to see 
 why some people can eat anything  and not put on weight. 


 SUGAR  SEVEN - STEP SEVEN 

Using our how and why knowledge from pdfs 1-6,
we now, picture by picture
look at the proof of how our cravings happen
 and our sugar molecules (sugar) are involved.

IN THE SECOND PART
 we see how the same applies to our stress.

 SUGAR EIGHT - STEP EIGHT  

Picture by picture, step by step, we use our knowledge from 
the previous pdfs, especially pdf five, 
to see and understand what
the "insulin" we hear about actually is 
and how it causes us to

gain weight.


The same applies to THE SECOND PART of the pdf where 
we see how this insulin also causes us to move towards

cancer.
